|"||*//+| ING WELMAR has been keeping the Kingdom of Nithia in a good
|"||//+*| situation for many and many years. The last sign of real
|~||\\*+| trouble was the Nithia/Milenian War, when the Sultan ordered
|~||+\\*| his minions to invade the north of Nithia and take the Tower
------- of Magic. That war took many years to end, and although
the Tower was taken back, King Welmar also kept the best roads that
connect New Thalos with Old Thalos into his territory.
The reason why the Sultan hadn't tried to take any of the
roads back is unkown to the nithians. It is known, though, that Old
Thalos has been completely devastated and forgotten by the Milenian
Empire.
In the meantime, some rumors from Merry Pirates have been
walking by Nithia saying that King Minos is calling all sorts of
mercenaries to work for him. No one have ever said why.
The only realm that doesn't seem to be interested on
battle is the people from Gentle Folk. They are probably using their
free time trying to figure out who's the ruler there.

|~,===.+| ENTLE FOLK can be best delimited by taking the entire Hollow World
|||"+"+~| and removing the other 3 regions. It is known by the lack of
|||*"==*| agreement among the main comunities and it has been mainly ruled
|`:==='~| by evil forces like orcs and demons in general. Two comunities
------- have miraculously avoided the evil. Sundhaven and the Elven Woods.
One is right beside the Temple of Threepwood, an attempt of proselytism from
a couple of thieves followers of that god. Sundhaven is also next to a great
source of neutral divine forces known as the Greek Gods.
The Elven Woods have their own magic and it seems that they can
themselves from mostly any harm.
Another curious coincidence is the fact that Gentle Folk be almost
the same region of the Hoan-Dor Forest. Some say that the forest has its own
willpower and many attempts to include part of it to one of the other
Kingdoms have proven to be a waste of effort. One particular historian known
as Gustavus the Creative related that the place was perfectly cut into evil
and good, and that both forces stays ethernaly fighting eachother but also
do not admit external intromission.

|+~==="+| N THE HOLLOW World dimension, the Roman Empire has controled a
|~+~|"+"| great part of the land and water, performing pileages and
|*~+|*"*| devastation for many years. But that huge empire has declined
|~*===*"| and its territories were taken by the other powerful rulers
------- that were just waiting on that to happen.
One big part became the Milenian Empire, and the other,
smaller one, was assumed by King Minos. Very few is known about King
Minos but so far he has ruled his territory with a mild fist. Pileages
are still the first hobby, but the happy atmosphere among the pirates
made the neighbors of this territory rename it to Merry Pirates.
Their God has graced them with some peace even with so many
piratestion. Maybe by facing it as legal they don't get mad when a rival
steals his neighbor. The only place they do not go is the Minos Isle.

|"=====*| HE MILENIAN Empire may be the biggest and only true remains of the
|+"+U~*~| old Roman Empire of Hollow World which finally disappeared during
|"~"U*+*| the Tiberius Caesar times. Tiberius banned his 16 years old son to
|~"~U+*+| the Deserts as he knew he would be a threat to him very soon. What
------- he didn't know was that the people from the Desert had never been
happy with being ruled by the romans. In fact they have always been ruled by
the sultans of Old Thalos (at that time known only by Thalos) and they
curiously embraced the boy as one of them, calling him Utlending.
Allied with the Sultan, Tiberius' son declared war to Roma and
created a new empire of his own. He took all the eastern region of Hollow
World and the already decaied Roman Empire couldn't face him. The final stab
was the Utlending/Minos alliance.
After defeating his father, Utlending left the few western parts
of the old empire to King Minos and that part became then the Merry Pirates.
Utlending didn't have children, and the Milenian Empire fell back to the
Sultans' hands.
Lately, the Sultan moved Thalos to the north, to New Thalos, and
after a foolish war with the Kingdom of Nithia, he lost the best roads to
King Welmar. Maybe because of the lack of roads, or maybe because Old
Thalos became unimportant, it got totally abandoned and devastated.
